Red Brick’s History

Art is the most intense mode of individualism that the world has known — Oscar Wilde

Red Brick Workshop began with an all-day retreat in January of 2011. Starting with finger-painting and moving onto charcoal and Conte drawing, the group explored why they consider themselves artists and what made them create.

Quickly everyone realized that doing led to being more creative, and “doing” as a group was fun! Red Brick Workshop became a place to find your creativity.

A series of half-day workshops followed that explored each topic brought up during the retreat. Workshops have explored making marks with charcoal, shading with Conte crayon, still-life and figure drawing.

Red Brick has also fostered “break-away groups” that have created sketchbooks, fired pottery, journeyed to the outdoors with watercolors, and meet in a dark garage to make linoleum prints.

We invite you to join us to explore, learn, discover, create and share, all in a safe environment.  Sign-up for a workshop to find your creativity.
